Principal
Meet Mr. Casey Schaub - Hill-McCloy High School Principal!
I am very excited to begin my second year serving the community as building principal here at Hill-McCloy High School. In an effort for families and students to get to know me better, I wanted to share with you some information about myself.
I graduated from Genesee Jr/Sr High School before earning a Mathematics degree and my teaching certification by attending Michigan State University (Go Green!). I then began my education career at Bendle High School where I taught mathematics for a little over six years while earning a Master’s Degree in instructional technology at Michigan State University (Go White!). This led me to working as an instructional technologist for the Genesee Intermediate School District where I ended up spending 2-3 days a week in Montrose Community Schools. Supporting the growth of both students and staff members within the district made me realize that I wanted to help lead a building as an administrator, and I completed a program to obtain my administrator certification. I gained a few years of experience as an administrator at Montague Elementary in Mt. Morris, before rejoining the district last year as the Hill-McCloy Principal.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, watching sports (college basketball is my favorite), and playing both board games and video games. My wife, Chelsea, is an educator at Durand High School where she thoroughly enjoys supporting her students. We have a wonderful daughter in the third-grade. She enjoys school, art, dance, and making us laugh.
Forming strong relationships with the community is an essential part of leading a school. Please take a moment to say hello if you see me around.
